I had on my iPod (as usual while waiting in between classes), and had on what I usually refer to as my “happy” playlist - with all the happy songs on my iPod, duh. And I dunno WHY, but I decided to draw some characters representing some of the songs, and I chose the Toa Metru as those characters! O_o

Vakama: “Caramelldansen” -Caramell. I’ve already done one of these, yes, I know, but this song is first on the playlist. And there’s something about a happy, dancing Vakama that amuses me. It’s always disturbingly funny to draw the usually emo or depressed characters deliriously happy.

Onewa: “That Girl Will Never Be Mine” -Untitled artist on the playlist. N’Sync, right? Lol I don’t really know, but it sounds like them. It’s a surprisingly catchy song about liking a girl and the singer’s relationship with her, while he remembers that while she’s so great, she’ll never be his. Onewa mourns the injustice of the world in general as a result.

Whenua: “If I Were a Rich Man” -Fiddler on the Roof. Idunnolol, seriously. The thought of him singing this and imagining himself as some upperclass noble is priceless.

Nuju: “Everytime We Touch” -Cascada. Definite LOLWUT moment right here. I almost had to start over on this one because I was laughing so hard while drawing it. But this was the next song that the Shuffle feature came up with, so Nuju has to do it. And if his expression is freaking the crap out of you...you're not alone. Poor snowman.

Nokama: “Butterfly” -Smile.dk. That’s my favorite DDR song! And I’m rather pleased Nokama got landed with it. Although I can’t really see her as deliberately looking for a boyfriend that obsessively, I CAN see her being happy about finding the one who’s just right for her and wanting to be everything to them in return.

Matau: “I Like to Move It” -Reel 2 Real (also known for being the song sung by Sacha Baron Cohen in Madagascar). This one nearly killed me when I realized which song it was. Seriously. This is totally the Matau song, hands down. I tried to draw him doing the same dance King Julien did in the movie, but I think I might have failed.
