_{Oh shit, Sally, it is STEAMIN’ over here}

I’m lying on my bed at the house in Hawaii, clad in a tank top and shorts with my hair tied up, while downing an ice-cold can of Coke. I can’t remember the last time I wore shorts. Or the last time I wore my hair up. Holy crap. But it’s freaking necessary, otherwise I’d be dead from the heat and humidity (more the latter than the former, really, heat doesn’t bother me). It’s even humid enough that I’ve put the fan on. (Do NOT get excited about this; it’s not often I lower myself to what you mortals consider to be “normal” temperatures.)

We kind of lack air conditioning, and I almost stepped on a gecko just now (there’s another one on the wall right above the bedside table), but holy CRAP is this awesome. The house is RIGHT on the sea shore, with a little private stretch of beach. The waves are so loud that I can hear them over my headphones, but they’re oddly...soothing. I’ve always loved the ocean, though.

The only problem is that I’m missing my best friend’s birthday on the 21st, sigh...don’t worry, Steph, I’ll be sure to bring you back a sea turtle for your birthday (even though the last time we were here, you were like SCARED of them)!

(By the way, I know I said I wouldn’t be online too much, and I won’t be. This is just the first day here. I just wanted to share how amazing and awesome this place is with you guys 8D)

Anyway, yes! I’m about to go exploring outside for a bit with my brother and a flashlight, so see you all later!
